An old-time narrow gauge steam railroad leaving Prairie Junction on a dangerous journey through outlaw-infested territory!
Frontier Town is (was) a full-size cowboy and pioneer town, where scores of people in authentic costumes portray(ed) frontier life in action.
My favourite detail is the little “Sent by Pony Express” addition on the bottom.
Frontier Town opened in 1952 and closed in 1998. After 20 years of abandonment, the site has reopened as a state park, but much of the original attraction continues to rot in the woods.
