There’s something about this image that makes it feel like one of those souvenir photos you can get in Niagara Falls, Ontario—if you’ve been, it’s likely you’ve wandered by the place on Victoria Avenue and looked at the examples listed outside.
Maybe it’s the poses, maybe it’s how clear the picture looks under the grime and creases. If I didn’t old this photograph in my hands and scan it myself, I’d be convinced it was new.
Oh, hell, even though I held it in my hands I’m still not convinced that it’s old. It looks and feels old in person, but… I’m not sure. Google Lens has no idea what to make of it (but seems to think Billy the Kid is involved).
